Chenthuruni is a wild life sanctury situated 70 km away from Kollam. This sanctury is on Kollam-Shencotta Road. Both shores of the river are thick dense forests where a large variety of fauna and flora exists. Thenmala Forest Division Head Quarters is located here.
The Chenthuruni River flows through the midst of this sanctuary. Both shores of the river is covered with thick forests which is home to a lot of diffrent species of trees and animals like , Elephans, Deer, Tigers, Monkeys etc.
